These beds are in excellent condition with only minor scratches.  They are fully assembled and currently used as twin beds (so the minor assembly would be the rail and ladder).  We are looking to buy a double or queen size bed to replace these bunk beds (and would consider swapping these beds for such - assuming the double or queen size bed are in excellent condition and include mattresses).

SO EASY to Assemble! And Beautiful!, 08/25/2009

First off let me note I only assembled the bottom bed. (One Bed only) It's for my 2 1/2 year old son and I wouldn't want him climbing up to the top bunk. We bought the bunk bed for when the baby I'm pregnant with is old enough to need it too. (If you will be assembling only the one bed at a time, the Bottom Bunk posts have holes on top of them where you connect it to the bottom of the Top Bunk Posts) Hope that made sense!

Assembly was SO simple and easy, it was actually a pleasure and relaxing! I assembled the one bed all by myself in about an hour! (Remember I'm Pregnant!) And I was sitting on the floor 95% of the time! EASY! The instructions are clear and the pieces clearly marked and organized. You pull out the pieces you use first off the top of the pile. You will Only need a Phillips Head screwdriver (or drill if you want to go faster). And that is only for the slats that the mattress sits on.

The bed is absolutely Gorgeous! It looks too Orangey in the picture, but the stain is very Rich and Pleasing. It smells really good! Like New Wood, not like Chemicals! It is very sturdy and I am so happy with it. Oh and it was 10 dollars cheaper at the store than the price listed here, so check your store.

Very Sturdy!, 07/13/2009

Me and my husband bought this bunk bed for my son who is 6 and my daughter who is almost 2. I was kind of skeptical about ordering a bunk bed from wal-mart but read all the reviews and I thought well we could give it a try. My husband who is not so good at putting things together put the bunk beds together in about an hour and half! They are VERY sturdy and they look so cute!! I think buying the bunk bed from here was a good idea!!
