This is a vintage Fred Bear Grizzly recurve bow. We were told that the bow is from the late 1960's.

The bow is in excellent condition, particularly considering its age. The only flaw of note that we can find is on the grip, a shallow bruise to the wood on the grip under the palm, shown in the bottom right side picture.

The limbs are straight, no delaminations or splits. It is a fantastic shooter.

The bow is from a 60 year collection of a local wealthy archer. He used the bow hunting mule deer and elk in the Rocky mountains of Utah, Montana and Wyoming. It was generally covered with a camo sleeve that protected it and it is relatively scratch free.

It is AMO 56 " and is marked 55 pounds at 28 inches. It measures 52 inches long unstrung.

It comes with a brand new, unused Dacron B50 string.

• The stated shipping covers all handling, packing, insurance and delivery within the 48 contiguous states. If you live outside the 48 contiguous United States, please email for shipping costs.

• In the event the actual cost that we are charged is significantly lower than expected, we will refund.

• In August, 2009, eBay announced that they will no longer allow sellers to extend optional insurance to buyers. In order to protect your purchase while in transit, insurance will be purchased for each item and included in the stated shipping price.

  We will do our best to keep this cost low and we will absorb the difference if we underestimate the final bid price.
