1972 Aurora Boeing B-29 SUPERFORTRESS WWII BOMBER

Now, with that behind us...I have purchased the estate of a long time model airplane/aircraft enthusiast. Please check back often as I will be listing more items as time permits. All models have been in storage 30+years and are sold as is. I cannot guarantee that all parts and decals are present but I will try to describe the contents. **SO FAR** I have sold over 400 of these unassembeled models with no reports of missing parts or dissatisfaction.

Here is a circa 1972 Aurora U.S. Air Force Boeing B-29 Superfortress. Never started or assembled. The scale is not noted but the model measures 15 1/2" from nose to tail and has a 22" wingspan. The contents are bagged and decal sheet and instruction sheet as well as the plastic stand are all present. The box is in excellent condition with very minor indention to box top from over 30 years storage. Box measures 8 x 18 1/2 inches.

The B-29 was first designed in 1939 with the actual prototype taking to the air in 1942. It was first reported in action on June 5, 1944 on a raid against the railway yards at Bankok, Siam, and made its first raid on the Japanese mainland on June 15, 1944. On August 6, 1945 a B-29 named the Enola Gay made history by dropping the first atom bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. This is a great looking model.
