This auction is for a used 32 piece chess game set. They appear to be made of wood, and I think they are maple by looking at the grain, but I am not sure. All are in excellent shape with minor flaws on about 5 pieces( barely noticeable-tiny chips and cracks,stain loss). One pawn is smaller and not original to the set, but it looks to be wood also. They do not have felt on the bottoms and look as if they never did.They look to be hand carved with intricate detail, especially on the knights. I do not know the maker or when they were made, and there is no box.

A: The king is 3-1/2 inches and the pawns are almost 2 inches. The one that doesn't match the set is also a pawn and is only 1 1/2 inches tall, but it is close in color. Thanks
