Stamped Crewel Embroidery Stitchery Kit 9 Flower Design

 Up for auction is a vintage Coats & Clark Crewel Creative Stitchery Kit.  I’m not sure when this was first sold, but the sticker price tag which is still on the front says $1.50, so it must be from the 1970’s, maybe the 80’s.  The kit is unopened and is in very good condition.  It is:  a Pillow Kit:  Floral Squares with nine unique flower designs.

The Kit contains:  a design stamped on needlecraft homespun (50% polyester 50% rayon).  The cut size is 14 1/2 inches x 31 inches and includes fabric for a pillow back to make a pillow sized 13 inches x 13 inches.  It includes Red Heart 100% acrylic persian type yarn, embroidery needle and easy to follow illustrated instructions and stitch chart.  I would think you don’t have to turn this into a pillow.  It would make a very pretty picture to be framed.
