This week from Brian Haberlin we have a page from SPAWN issue 166, page # 21 and issue 170 page 5.   
 
Medium:  Brian doesn't use a graphite pencil, he lays out his work on the computer and then prints it and erases the file. He then takes his one original and goes in to ink the details by hand. He does 'spot his blacks' on the computer but the fine rendering and details are done by hand with Microns, brush with India Ink and some opaque whites. 
 
 
Brian Haberlin began his comic book career with Image Comics' Top Cow Productions.  During his time there he wrote several books and helped co-create Top Cow's most popular character, WITCHBLADE.
  
In 1995 Brian formed his own studio and for the past four years his studio has been involved with at least one top ten comic title every month.  His studio's clients includes all the top comic book companies and properties such as SPAWN, X-MEN, DAREDEVIL, SPIDER-MAN and many others. 

In 1998 he formed AVALON STUDIOS (which later became HABERLIN STUDIOS) and launched such popular comic creations as ARIA, STONE, THE WICKED, NINE RINGS OF WU-TANG, JINN, ATHENA INC. and HELLCOP.
 
Currently Brian is not only the Editor and Chief of TODD McFARLANE PRODUCTIONS but he also pencils and inks their flagship title, SPAWN.
