1863 Civil War Token MS62 BN- Money Makes The Mare Go

1863 CIVIL WAR TOKEN
GRADED NGC MS-62 BN

This is a nicely-struck example of the patriotic Civil War token Money Makes the Mare Go (Fuld 254) with the United States Copper reverse (Fuld 434a). Dated 1863, this coin still has some red mint luster in the recessed portions of the design. It is graded MS-62 brown by NGC. Obverse shows a knickerbocker carrying a sack with coins spilling out. A ribbon above reads “Go It Buttons”. Tokens reverse shows an American Eagle perched atop the world with “United States Copper” around. Nice clean example of an uncirculated Civil War token.
