VINTAGE HEAVY GAUGE ALUMINUM FOOD MILL WITH WOOD HANDLE AND TURN KNOB - 1 1/2 QUART SIZE

Up for auction is a vintage heavy-gauge aluminum food mill with wood handle and turn knob in a 1 1/2 quart capacity size. This kitchen utentil is a traditional manual masher, ricer & strainer using a hand-turning crank, rotating blade and bottom strainer for processing food. Through clockwise and counterclockwise turning, foods, fruits and vegetables can be processed for canning, making jams and preserves, mashing potatoes and pureeing baby foods.

This food mill weighs a hefty 1 1/4 lbs. of all heavy aluminum construction. It has bracketed clamps to affix to a bowl, pan or kettle to allow the strained food to empty directly into a container and also has a handle opening made of wire frame around the wood handle grip to hang and store this utensil on a kitchen hook.

It is in great working condition with all parts intact and solidly in place. There are no dents and the food mill has a warm and appealing vintage patina to it.
