You couldn't get more suave than forgotten Detroit crooner Keith Washington who made quite an entrance with the sparkling ballad "Kissing You". The song oozed class in it's every sensual note, Washington getting super excited for an evening of passion that would solidify an eternal romance.

"Kissing You" was nothing much but an elegant aping of Luther Vandross/ Freddie Jackson love thoughts, but Washington (a former Miki Howard back-up singer) had the handsome looks those two singers couldn't compete with and the support of label boss Quincy Jones to make sure his productions carried a crisp finesse. Add to that a set of solid chops and R&B had it's latest lady-killer.

Washington would have a few more hits over the next decade but none that would come close to matching the success of "Kissing You".
