Georgian Chippendale Glazed Bookcase Display Cabinet

Description:
This is a beautiful "Chippendale" design three door glazed and blind panelled, flame mahogany bow front bookcase / display cabinet.  The bookcase cabinet stands on these beautiful carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaf decorated knees and carved ball and claw feet.  Rising over this is an ogee moulding with the three doors.  The centre blind panelled flame mahogany veneered door, cross-banded in mahogany and set, on either side, by Gothic arched decorated carved glazing bars.  Surmounting this is a beautiful Chinoiserie design Chippendale inspired blind fretwork frieze of scrollwork and strapwork.  Surmounting this is the solid mahogany top, with a raised gallery back.  The cabinet is in lovely condition, retaining its original silk lining to the glazed sections.  The centre section has this beautiful flame mahogany panelled door, with two adjustable shelves.

The display cabinet bookcase dates circa 1920.

Condition:
The cabinet bookcase is in lovely condition, retaining its original finish and having good colour and patination, coming complete with a working key for all three locks and is all in very nice condition.
