Movie description
SAILOR MOON has become hugely popular in the US as a children's series in its edited form, although in its native Japan it is a far more sophisticated and mature series. This collection contains the unedited entire first season, and begins as a girl named Serena meets a magical cat who gives her super powers. Serena, in turn, recruits the Sailor Warriors, a group of junior high school girls who use their powers to fight evil.

This is the uncut original version of Season 1 of the animated series Sailor Moon.  This version was released by ADV Films in 2003. It contains the first 46 episodes of the show on 8 DVDs.  The language track is Japanese with English subtitles, and it includes "soft" subtitles too, which translate any Japanese text shown in the background on the screen.  It does not include the English dub, which was written to fit the edited children's version of the show. This series is currently out-of-print, and is therefore difficult to find.  The DVDs are Region 1.

The description of the show provided above by eBay is correct with the exception of the main character's name. She is called Serena in the English dub, but since this is Japanese language only, her name is Usagi.

This item is like new: it has been removed from the shrink wrap but has never been watched (except to verify that the discs all work.)  There is one small scratch on the box in the foil on Usagi's silhouette's ponytail on one side, and that is the only visible defect.

Shipping is Media Mail, although I will ship it Priority Mail at my expense, as this is a nice item that needs better care than what Media Mail can offer.  Thank you and good luck.
