The Eagle XG rods are a high quality series of IM6 graphite rods by Eagle Claw. This rod is an Eagle XG model SC8'6", a 8 1/2' medium action 2 piece trigger stick casting rod made in China. This 8 1/2' rod has an unbelievable 10 lightweight  titanium Dynaflow guides plus tip. The quality of the workmanship on the Eagle XG rod series is evident from the high quality, durable epoxy coating on the guide wraps and information area. The rod handle has a durable reel seat with full stainless steel hoods and a 12" full Portuguese specie cork handle with a 3" cork fore grip. The design and placement of the ferrule is such that there is virtually no "flat spot" commonly associated with a 2 piece rod. The rod is medium action rated for 8-12 lb test line and 3/8-3/4 oz lures.  With all the high quality features and 8 1/2' length the rod weighs only 6.8 oz on my digital scale.

 If you are looking for a high quality, sensitive 8 1/2' trigger stick Salmon/Steelhead rod you can't get a much better rod than this Eagle XG SC8'6"M, especially in a 2 piece model for the price.  High quality 2 piece rods are getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price since the detail and precision required in the manufacturing process makes them more costly than a comparable one piece model. And best of all the opening bid price is under Distributor price.

This is a new rod with warranty papers included. Eagle Claw warranty is one year for materials and workmanship.

I included "TROLLING" in the title since a good number of these rods have been won by anglers in the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota) to be used as trolling rods. The walleye guys claim these long, sensitive rods are great for trolling for walleyes. They must work good for trolling since most are winning two at a time.

I also noticed that a number of rods went to the Gulf Coast and Southeastern states. No, not for salmon/steelhead or walleye but Redfish and Strippers. They must work for those fish because their buddies later bid on these rods.

Flat rate shipping and handling in US is $12.00 for one rod. A second rod of similiar length adds $6.00 to shipping and handling. Insurance included.

Flat rate shipping and handling to Canada is $25.00 for one rod. 2 to 4 rods S&H is $30.00 to Canada.
