Steinway Model "B" Grand

Steinway Model "B" Grand ,  6'-10.5" ,  Satin Ebony Finish.    This older model "B" grand was manufactured in 1906.   We rebuilt the piano for a local university and it was used by them for years in the music school.   We recently aquired it back and have rebuilt it again.   The keyaction has Abel German hammers and Abel Encore shanks and flanges.  The soundboard has been reshimmed and refinished.   The tuning pins and strings are new.

The piano has a very resonant soundboard typical of older type construction.   The tone of the piano is appealing and can be voiced to your preference. 

This piano qualifies as a true antique being more than 100 years old.    It has somewhat of an antique value but is more valuable as a functional piano.

We are offering it for auction based on its functional value.    This piano will be suitable for someone as a nice recreational instrument.   Because of the older style keyaction (not a accelerated keyaction type)  the piano does not compare with the modern "B"s.   It wouldn't be suitable as a professional performance instrument,  but may be depending on the artist.  

As for its tuning stability , the piano tunes excellent and all the pins are consistently tight.   From A1 to C88.   The piano is shown without a bench , but we can provide a regular wooden type or a upholstered artist bench .
