- Naturally Caffeine Free!
If you like chai, you'll love Organic India's naturally caffeine-free Tulsi Tea Red Chai Masala. Instead of classic black tea, they use rooibos, an aromatic tea leaf from South Africa to make red tea, then blend it with stress-relieving Tulsi and classic chai tea spices like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, roasted chicory, and nutmeg. Rooibos' flavor is strong, and they balance it expertly with the other ingredients to give you something completely unique-and incredibly healthy. A few sips of this rich, delicious tea and you'll fall in love with its distinctive sweet-yet-spicy, full-bodied, nutty taste. Drink on its own (delicious!) or go traditional and add milk and sweetener for a rich, creamy taste.*
Rooibos is sweeping the West -- and it won't be long until you hear orders for "red espresso," as in South Africa. This healthy herb has low tannin levels compared to fully oxidized black tea or unoxidized green tea and is packed with antioxidants, which can cancel out the cell-damaging effects of free radicals. The combination of these benefits with the antioxidants in Tulsi and the organic chai spices gives your body a dose of adaptogenic power and a digestive boost.*
About Tulsi Tea Throughout India, Tulsi is considered "The Queen of Herbs" and is revered as a sacred plant infused with healing power. Traditionally grown in an earthen pot in every family home or garden, Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) makes a delicious and refreshing tea that possesses wonderful health benefits that support the body's natural immune system while relieving the body's negative reaction to stress.*
Tulsi has remarkable life-enhancing qualities, noted repeatedly in ancient Indian scriptures dating back 5,000 years, and now here for you to fully enjoy. Namaste!

ORGANIC INDIA products are of the highest quality and are marketed all over the world. They are continually developing and expanding their range of organic foods and health products.

A Foundation Built Upon Ancient Wisdom
During the 1990s thousands of people from all over the world came to Lucknow, India to meet Sri H.W.L. Poonja, lovingly known as Papaji. Drawn to India in search of Truth and Self Realization, people came flooding to Lucknow upon hearing the simple teaching of Papaji: "Keep Quiet. The Eternal Truth exists within you. Do not entertain a single thought and the Truth will reveal itself."
A number of people settled in Lucknow at that time, living and working independently. A few people, including Prashanti de Jaeger, an Ayurvedic Practitioner; and Bharat Mitra (Yoav Lev) began a small business of developing Ayurvedic herbal formulations for the health and well being of the many people coming to Lucknow.
In September 1997, Papaji left his mortal form, and many people left Lucknow as well. However, Bharat Mitra, originally from Israel, stayed in Lucknow with a small number of other people from around the world and continued to develop the business. They began growing and collecting their own herbs for their formulations because they were not satisfied with the quality of herbs available on the market.
They had the good fortune in 1998 to meet Dr. Narendra Singh, whose extensive research on Tulsi led him to write the book, Tulsi, The Mother Medicine of Nature in collaboration with Dr. Yamuna Hoette from Germany and Dr. Ralph Miller from Canada. Dr. N. Singh has dedicated his life to studying and researching the medicinal value and application of thousands of Ayurvedic herbs. His research and clinical studies led him to develop a comprehensive range of herbal medicines for the care of chronic and acute illnesses. Their successful collaboration with Dr. Narendra Singh led to the development of delicious and health-promoting Tulsi Tea and their successful line of herbal supplements, all based on Dr. Singh's research and clinical studies. Dr. N. Singh has successfully treated tens of thousands of patients with these formulations over a period of more than forty years.
They began their first large cultivation of Tulsi by contracting farmers in the area around Dr. N. Singh's ancestral home near Azamgarh, UP. Their determination to have the highest quality Tulsi and herbal supplements led them to an unwavering commitment to grow and use only Organic Tulsi and Organic Herbs. Their entrance into the agricultural world of India revealed the horrors of chemical agriculture and the devastation left by the failure of the 'green revolution'. Farmland was devastated, water supplies were contaminated, livestock was unhealthy, wildlife was disappearing, and the health and well-being of all the people was depleted by the permeation of toxic agro-chemicals and extreme poverty. Thousands of farmers committed suicide. In addition, genetically engineered crops were (and are) being introduced into India, crops which require a huge amount of toxic pesticides and cause numerous other environmental crises. This has all led to a growing demand all over the world for organically grown food.
They made a strategic business decision to concentrate exclusively on developing a complete range of organic products in order to both support sustainable agricultural life in India and to offer safe and healthful products to people all over the world. In 1999 they changed the company name to IITC ORGANIC INDIA Private Limited, which was again renamed in the year 2006 as ORGANIC INDIA Private Limited to reflect their vision and commitment.

The People Of Organic India
ORGANIC INDIA is a large and growing business. Their employment ethic is fairness, respect, dignity, and encouragement. They provide opportunities for poor and disadvantaged people to become self-sufficient and empowered by improving their skills and economic security.
ORGANIC INDIA employs over 200 people in manufacturing and marketing. It is estimated that 150,000 farmers, tribal people and their communities around India have been touched directly or indirectly by the work of ORGANIC INDIA. These thousands of farmers are being trained by ORGANIC INDIA in sustainable, organic farming methods. Hundreds of people in tribal communities are also being trained in environment friendly procurement and wild crafting methods that protect the bio-diversity of the earth. These tribal wild crafters are then employed by ORGANIC INDIA to procure herbs and fruits from Certified Organic forests.
All ORGANIC INDIA farmers are Certified Organic according to the highest standards by international agencies, a process that they finance, organize, supervise, and support.
In 2001, ORGANIC INDIA opened a subsidiary distribution company in the USA in order to offer ORGANIC INDIA products to the people of North America. ORGANIC INDIA USA was incorporated in the State of Colorado. In April 2005, they opened a subsidiary corporation in Israel called ORGANIC INDIA Israel to import and market their products in Israel. ORGANIC INDIA Israel now owns and operates several natural foods stores in Israel where many ORGANIC INDIA products are available.
ORGANIC INDIA is actively supporting a sustainable environment and organic agriculture through a vast network of farmers, wild crafters, forests and farmlands; healing the land and its people; and re-establishing trust and dignity. To date, ORGANIC INDIA has managed to regenerate thousands of acres of contaminated, depleted, and abused land into healthy, productive farmland.
