With this harness you'll save many steps when installing an aftermarket receiver in your car. Simply splice the color-coded wires on your harness to the wires from your aftermarket radio. It's a simple process of matching colors on one harness to the other.

The color codes used on this car stereo connector conforms to the standards set by the E.I.A. (Electronics Industry Association). The colors used may not always match your radios colors, so please always refer to your owners manual. Below is a list of E.I.A. standards for reference purposes. If a wire is unavailable or unused simply tape it off.

Yellow	=	12 Volt Battery / Constant (12V+)
Red	=	12 Volt Ignition / Switched (12V+)
Blue	=	Power Antenna
Blue/White	=	Remote Turn on (12V+)
Orange	=	Illumination / Dimmer
Black	=	Chassis Ground (12V-)
White	=	Left Front Positive (LF+)
White/Black	=	Left Front Negative (LF-)
Gray	=	Right Front Positive (RF+)
Gray/Black	=	Right Front Negative (RF-)
Green	=	Left Rear Positive (LR+)
Green/Black	=	Left Rear Negative (LR-)
Violet	=	Right Rear Positive (RR+)
Violet/Black	=	Right Rear Negative (RR-)

Since you didn't have to cut off your car's original radio connector, it's easier to put the factory radio back in when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. Just plug the factory radio back in and keep the aftermarket radio!

Please note these harnesses are not designed to be used on vehicles with a 'factory amplified' or 'premium sound' systems and often will not even fit in the plugs.  They will not fit properly.
