Up for bid is the latest version of our “Multi-Style Guitar MoldÓmanufactured by KMG (Kenneth Michael Guitars est. 1978).  http://www.kennethmichaelguitars.com/multistylemold.html This mold has no peers! Using a simple half pattern, or included stencils, the “Multi-Style Guitar MoldÓ can be transformed and ready to start construction of any style guitar in a matter of minutes. The adjustable sidewalls are 2 1/4” high. The fixture base is made of 13 layer Birch plywood. Components for this unit are precision machined using our CNC equipment.  The real Pros recognize the advantages of this mold design over those poorly designed hobby molds. Go here to see the incredibly simple procedure. http://www.kennethmichaelguitars.com/attachback.html

Plus! The Multi Style Mold has built-in tabs so the top and back of the guitar can be assemble and glued to the rim using readily available #64 rubberbands as clamps --- no spool clamps required, no go bar deck required, no cam clamps required!!   How simple is that ?

This mold and our other molds are GREAT for assembling all the kits out there without the fear of distortion. There have been hundreds perhaps thousands of Martin Factory Guitar Kits built using these molds. They are especially helpful when building instruments with contoured tops and backs. Use the method employed by Jim Williams, Irvin Sloane, David Russell Young, Kinkade, KMG and countless others. Simply use  rim shims  (I use common builders stock) a few locations between the posts and you can make the bottom conform to any contour back or top radius.

To make adjustments the 7/16" nuts are loosened and the sidewall posts are move to the desired position. A choice of (2) TWO Luthier's Stencils   --- the popular Modern "D" -- Pre-War X forward "D" -- Martin J/M -- "000" 12th Fret and "00014th Fret are available with this package Most suppliers would charge about $20 each for their simple half pattern outline templates and the old fashion plywood forms run from $85 to over $175 EACH!!! Note that there is some very simple assembly required using a 7/16" socket. (Photos are file copies)

If you are looking for a single purpose mold check out our on-line store our “Pro's Preferred©" Traditional style and "Versa Form" post molds Highest quality and reasonable pricing make them incredible values !

If you are considering building an acoustic guitar kit you need to check this out
