Description:
We really don't know much about this, we'll do our best to describe, if you have any questions don't hesitate to email us.
From a local estate auction.
What we believe is an old Cheerleader or school type uniform.
It's 3 pieces.
top, skirt and some sort of under the skirt shorts.
1. Black Top - buttons in back- could not find any tags or marks - has some discoloration under arms and around neck area and back area - almost has turned a light reddish color. No rips or tears that we see.
2. Under the skirt type shorts - has a button on the side as well as a side metal zipper (zipper is marked "talon") which goes about 1/2 the way down the side. This appears to be in good shape - no tags or marks we see. Length is approx 18 inches.
3. Long Skirt - Had 7 buttons (2 are missing) which I believe fastened in the rear of the skirt, The front of the skirt has two pockets framed with white material with the letters "E' and "P" embrodered into the skirt. Again this item shows some discoloration around the waist, the white trim is a little soiled. Saw a couple of small areas around the waist where the thread is pulled some - No tags or marks we could find. Length is 28 inches.
The item is made from is fairly heavy type material and appears to have been of quality workmanship.
I wish we knew more about this item, but unfortunately there is no one left to ask - the estate this came from had a house, barns, etc just packed to the rafters with old items that probably had not see the light of day in 50 years.
I believe the lady who owned this may have been a nurse during WWII.
Please feel free to email if you have any idea what this may be, were always interested in any info we may be able to pass along.
Thanks for looking!
