The case will be shipped in an good-sized outer box. See shipping calculator below to purchase this item alone.
Insurance is included in the shipping calculator total. Items will be professionally insured by a reputable 3rd party insurer. With USPS, all orders $20 and over in value will have insurance automatically included in the checkout/invoice total. With UPS, all shipments valued at $100 or less are insured by UPS. We will add insurance from the same 3rd party insurer for any UPS shipment exceeding $100 in value. Third party insurance is much less expensive than insuring through the shipping companies and we pass the savings on to you.
Due to the often fragile nature and awkward shape of glassware, combined shipping cost is highly variable with glass. Please feel free to request a quotation for any combined shipping costs, be sure to include your zip code.
When 2 or more products are purchased, even if they are all the same item, if payment is made before an invoice is sent, the shipping calculator (which is what decides the total after the 'Pay Now' button is clicked) will often overcharge you. This is because it adds all the weights and all the packaging/handling fees together. It cannot account for all the variables involved in multiple item orders. Allowing us to send you an invoice on multiple item orders will often save you money on shipping.
If your total from the shipping calculator for UPS seems a bit higher than expected, your zip code may be considered remote. There is a UPS-imposed $2.50+ surcharge that has been automatically added to all addresses in your zip code. Most people, however, do not fall under the remote area.
Note on Priority Mail shipping for those in zones 5-8 relative to California (typically east of the Rockies): This item, sent by itself, is not subject to USPS Priority dimensional weight fees (see storefront). However, combined with other items of significant size, dimensional weight charges may be in effect. Feel free to ask if your multiple-item order may have these charges. |
