Antique fabric Duvet cover French blue linen

• This buy it now is for this lovely, hand-woven, hand stitched Antique matress cover! This textile dates from the early 1900s~ BEAUTIFUL THICK BLUEstripes!! LOVELY TEXTILE~*~* This cover was produced from hand woven natural cotton and hemp~  with the most wonderful medium blue stripe.   The weave is a heavy weight DURABLE twill weave.  It is 100% hand stitched and is made from taking 2 large panels of the lovely linen and hand stitching them down the middle, it is like a Huge sack. The sides are all hand stitched and there is an opening at the top for the feathers. ~~~ This textile would have been used as a mattress cover, and stuffed with feathers or straw for sleeping! ~*~ . The tone of this textile is beautiful. off white!~ ~ this would make the most charming duvet cover for a twin bed or I use one as a large, reading pillow in my childrens room.I simply stuffed it with a large feather comforter, and I use grain sacks against the wall stuffed with feather inserts for the corners. I keep their books on a little shelf near by~*~ This would also be wonderful stuffed and used as a soft place to lay in the living room~*~ Or of course, the fabirc would be wonderful used for upholstery, pillows , you name it ! ~*~ I also use one in my daughter's room  . It remains on the bottom of her bed,  and on a chilly night I just pull up!  ~~*~  ( please see photograph) ( DUVET 20) ,

•  This matress cover measures approximately 6 feet long by 2.91 feet wide ~*~ (183cm long 89cmwide)but of course it is either twice as long or twice as wide, depending on how it is opened out if being used for fabric~*~  

This lovely matress cover is in wonderful wonderful condition ~*~ ~ ~*~  there is some light storage marks that  will wash beautifully.  Simply machine wash cold or hand wash~ cold. To be sure that the white stays white!~ or you can choose to dry clean . I like to add fabric softener to the final rinse for added softness~*~
