   This is a philosophical book about how to raise a young boy to adulthood. Chapters are titled: Contents of the Boy; The Boy's Appetite; His Activities; General Development; Relation to the Church; Social Interests; Turning Points; The Boy Adrift; His Heritage; The Boy in the Home.

   I love the advice given here in reference between boys and girls: "If into many a given group of girls there comes another that is plainly dressed, some snobbish member of the company is likely to elevate her nasal organ of expression in refined disdain (for while some persons are reported to have rubber in their necks, many maidens have it located more especially in the nose).
