This is a beautiful embroidered applique!! It is a lavendar purple butterfly, with light purple iridescent sequins that has a lot of really gorgeous sparkle! It is a medium size (1.5" wide by 1.25" high), perfect for placing on a shirt or jacket, jeans pocket, bath, hand or kitchen towel, apron, children's clothing, formal dress, etc. Your imagination makes it limitless, and I have a few available if you want to have more than one in your design!
The sequins give a hologram, iridescent sparkle. The sequins are clustered mostly in the middle, and thin out as you go towards the edges of the wings. There is pretty embroidery work underneath, including purple and a small amount of silver sparkle thread. The bottom inside wings are edged in a lavendar, and the top wings are edged in a black. You won't find a prettier butterfly! The picture has been blown up so you can see the intricate detailing, so it is actually smaller than it appears. Check the measurements carefully to see how it works for your project.
I also have this butterfly in other colors {see below}, as well as some different sequins appliques; see my eBay store listings. They look gorgeous combined together, and can be purchased separately.
Within the US, shipping is FREE for this applique. If you combine it with other appliques that don't have free shipping, you will still need to pay the other shipping costs. After you buy what you are interested in, ask me to send you an invoice before you pay, so you can save $.
The applique can either be ironed on with either a household iron or professional heat press. If an iron is used, follow these instructions:
-
* Preheat iron to 'cotton' setting. Do not use steam!
-
* Position applique on garment.
-
* Cover design with thin pressing cloth.
-
* Press straight down for 25 seconds with constant pressure- No back and forth motion!
-
* Allow to cool thoroughly before using.
-
* You may want to press again for 20 seconds from reverse side of the garment, especially if the item is large or the fabric is thick.
If a heat press is used, set to 375 degrees for 15 seconds.
Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
