Description

Lot of 3 softcover photography books all by James Bartholomew, published by the Herbert Press. All are 7.75x9.75 inches. All have prices on the back in pounds.
All 3 have a signature on the title page as shown in the photo- "To Jane- James Bartholomew".

  1. The City of London-129 pgs, copyright 1989. One hundred (100) striking, beautifully composed photographs capture the famous institutions as well as the lesser-known alleys and passgaeways of the City of London. Published in association with the Corporations of London as part of the official commemoration of the 800th annniversary of the Lord Mayor of London.
  2. The Magic of Kew - 127 pgs, copyright 1988, 100 plates, All the studies portray fine detail, achieved by using slow speed (25 ISO and 125 iso RATED at 80) fine-grain films and stopping the lens right down to the smallest aperture to gain the maximum depth of field. Some of the exposures for interior shots had to be as long as 90 seconds.
  3. Inside the Tower-The Alternative Guide: 128 pgs, copyright 1990, 90 specially-taken colour photographs-see photo of back cover for more details on contents.
Condition of these books is very good. I see no other marks other than the dedication by the author. All have mild shelfwear, the London book has some discoloration on the front cover edge.

I do not know the provenance of the signature, they were signed when I acquired them.

These are truly a beautiful collection of photos by a gifted photographer of what I think is the world's most fabulous city.

RETURNS: I can't accept returns or give refunds unless I send you the wrong item or miss a major condition issue. For items damaged in transit refunds will be issued only if insurance has been purchased by the buyer. If I do agree to accept a return it must be shipped back with insurance and shipping paid for by the buyer. If I have received the item in the same condition I sent it and within one week of receipt by buyer I will issue a refund for the purchase price only. If I accept a return because you made an error in purchasing it there will be a $10.00 restocking fee subtracted from the refund.


Shipping

SHIPPING I ship 2 or 3 times a week, and try to mail your item within 2 business days after I receive payment. I cannot control the time it takes for the item to be delivered after I have posted it. Media Mail can take 3-4 weeks for delivery. If you need receipt by a particular date let me know. All my packages are packed with extreme care.
COMBINED SHIPPING: For items actively bid on about the same time. Usually each extra item is an extra dollar or two.

If you would like a firm shipping quote for more than one item using the Flat Rate Envelope or Box I will be happy to provide one. This could save a LOT of money in shipping costs and leave more money for books and stuff!!
Please note that Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
