This Sale is for 1 Original Old Cast Iron Baluster

Up for sale is One Lovely Old Original Ornately Designed Cast Iron Baluster from the French Quarter in New Orleans.  Once part of an iron balcony in the French Quarter, this piece measures 29 5/8" X 11 1/2" with a thickness of 3/4".  In the 1950's my Mother had an antique shop in Houston and would do her buying in New Orleans.  This piece is from one of her trips to the Quarter.  There are 10 pieces, exactly alike, which we are selling individually.  In New Orleans today, I have seen these incorporated into wooden doors and gates, as well as inserted into brick walls.  This design is uniquely ornate and attractive.  Original paint has been brushed with steel brush and patina is lovely "as is", or could easily be painted.
