THIS IS AN IMPRESSIVE SUPPLE CLEAN COPY, WITH EXCEPTIONAL GLOSS AND BONE-WHITE PAGES!  IT LOOKS ALMOST NEW AT FIRST GLANCE, AND FEATURES A GREAT COVER BY THE INIMITABLE GENE COLAN, ONE OF THE TOP COVER ARTISTS OF THE DAY, AND COLAN ALSO DID THE WHOLE DOUBLE-SIZED BOOK, WHICH FEATURES THE FIRST APPEARANCE AND ORIGIN OF THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!

This book is well known to fans and dealers alike, as a hot giant-size comic book featuring some top icons of the era, the Guardians!  It's a real treat to behold when the cover is unblemished by such pesky detractors as deep creases and severe spine-stresses.  It has the timeless artwork of Colan on the cover and inside the issue as well, which is top quality.  The G.O.G. have evolved over the years into a major pop culture property known around the globe; And they appear in modern comics, too.  It doesn't get much more "Blue Chip" than this!   

This incredible original first-print comic-book WILL find a new home, as the opening bid is low and there is NO RESERVE! 

This historic comic is a real find in unrestored Fine or better shape, as most copies were read, and re-read, time and time again, and with the glossy dark purple cover, even the tiniest flaws show up.  This copy is above average, as it's clean and there are no severe signs of wear or major aging, and it has precise printing registration.  And the paper quality is near-unbeatable!  Just some very minor edge/surface flaws, mainly some shelf wear, and the printing scuffs at bottom, keeping it out of true high grade.  Good luck finding this level of eye appeal again in the future unless you pay an arm and a leg for a certified gem, which is forever out of reach in a trendy holder...  Note that our scanner makes it appear that there's vertical lines, running up through the right side of the logo, but there are no such light lines or scratches on the comic.  We are also now auctioning other great unslabbed and CGC comics, plus rare comic art; And we'll be offering hundreds of other comics in the next few months.  Check out our ebay items regularly!

Great cover colors; And the gloss is phenomenal, which must be seen in person to be appreciated.   If you are a discriminating Capt Marvel/Avengers-ephemera collector, serious key comics investor, or just a devout Starlin collector, and prefer unrestored books without pesky significant flaws, then NOW is your brief window of opportunity.  It looks less appealing in the disappointing picture, with lots of glare and odd whitish areas from specks of dust on our scanner, which also has flaws on the scanner glass,  ~but in person the book looks spectacular and the super bright colors really leap out at you!
