Movie description
The vast sci-fi environs of the popular FINAL FANTASY video game serve as the backdrop for this action-packed anime television series directed by Mahiro Maeda and produced by GONZO Digimation. The series opens as a mysterious pillar of darkness descends upon Japan, opening a gateway to another dimension and spawning a gigantic two-headed monster that destroys itself in a spectacular fashion. Twelve years later, twin brother and sister Yu and Ai hop on a magical subway that takes them to a fantastical but dangerous realm known as Wonderland, where they hope to solve the mystery of their scientist parents' disappearance on that dreadful day with the help of a kindly sorceress and a brooding gunslinger. Moody and enigmatic with stunning CGI animation, the sci-fi anime kicks off with this first volume of episodes.
