During June/July of 1978 the group founded by Jerry Dammers and originally known as The Automatics was given the support slot on the Clash's "On Parole" tour. Jerry was focused on creating his own label and so, 2-Tone was born. 2- Tone and The Specials, created an entire genre of ska music. They experimented with psychedelic ska and added female back-up singers, including Chrissie Hynde, Rhoda Dakar, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffrey and Jane Wiedlin. This compilation of video clips is held together with insights and overviews as provided by program director Brian Zabawski, and Crawdaddy, and an acknowledged authority of the punk movement. All songs are complete and unedited.
