This iconic book is well known to fans and dealers alike, as a hot early Marvel comic book featuring the cult-classic MAD THINKER for the very first time, not to mention the timeless art by the legendary Jack "King" Kirby.  It has the influential artwork of Kirby on the cover as well as inside the issue, which is top quality.  This series helped to kick off the fabled silver-age of comics, and pre-dates Amazing Spider-Man #1 and X-Men #1!  Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm are all major pop culture properties with cult-classic films; Who knows when they may get yet another big-screen smash-hit?  It doesn't get much more "Blue Chip" than this!   

This sought-after original first-print comic-book WILL find a new home, as the asking price is low and there is NO RESERVE! 

This historic early-sixties superhero comic is a real find in such nice shape, as most copies were read, and re-read, time and time again, and attrition was high.  This copy has obviously been read, but it still retains great eye-appeal when viewed in the archival sleeve; The large detailed scan pretty well sums it up.  It has some general wear, including dings and bumps to some edges and some minor tears, and a previous owner pre-emptively added tape to the otherwise pretty spine area to ensure the cover could withstand numerous future readin's, and for some reason he also added tape to the top edge of the INSIDE front cover.  The book is a solid mid grade, otherwise...  There are some minor creases and cover blemishes and indentations and other traditional signs of past contented usage.  The innards are still retained at both original staples, and the pages are untorn and supple and clean.  This is a great way for a reader or collector to fill in a major early Marvel key without dropping hundreds, if not thou$ands, of dollars.
