11 Yr 1983 Ken Twice as Nice Outfits New in Box Barbie

            Up for Auction are Eleven Twice As Nice Reversible Fashions for Ken Doll From the Barbie Collection by Mattel . Items are Original, Factory Sealed, Never Opened from Box condition. Copyright year is 1983. Item catalog numbers are 4885 4886 4887 4888 4889 4890 5819 5820 5821 5822 5824 .(Note 5823 is MISSING from this series)  All Toy Outfits are in  store new mint condition with no damage. Nothing loose inside the boxes.

Boxes are in nice condition with no separation of the plastic covers from the cardboard. However the corners of the cardboard have minor skuffing and some slight curling so PLEASE view the pictures carefully for container condition. A few of the plastic windows have yellowed a tad from age.

Pictures are the best description of item condition. Pictures have been taken from all sides. Please view pictures carefully as this is an AS-IS auction.   

HISTORY OF THIS ITEM

You are buying from the son of the original owner. This auction item was never owned nor played with by a child. I am selling on behalf of my elderly mother who collected dolls as an adult, between the mid 1950s through the late 1980s. She worked in a department store toy and catalog department, and loved to buy the merchandise. Later in her life she did some traveling and bought some items outside her job location and added to her collection. She never bought used. She rarely took any of the toys out of the boxes, but just loved to buy, store, and display the toys at home, as is, in their original boxes.

Also a word about the storage of these dolls.  These dolls were stored over the years in ideal conditions. That is they were stored in the living area of the home in empty bedrooms and closets. Neither basements nor hot attics. Neither in direct sunlight. Many were rotated from storage to display shelves to be viewed and then back to storage. They have been exposed to pretty much a constant temperature and humidity of the living area of a Michigan home. A better way of stating this is that these dolls were NEVER stored in the basement exposed to humid conditions or in the heat of a hot attic. Let me also add that they have been in both a pet free, child free, and smoke free home.

I am NOT a collector or an expert on Barbie Dolls or Action Figures. My mother was the expert… not me! I have no expertise in this area of collecting. I am NOT a dealer either. So please bid accordingly and realize that I cannot answer questions that a doll collector would know.

Concerning Shipping, I ONLY SHIP to the address on file in your EBAY account or PayPal accounts via USPS Priority Mail. Please do NOT ask me to ship elsewhere. If you want it shipped to a friend or loved one, you handle that.  

I will DISCOUNT SHIPPING for MULTIPLE items won on the SAME DAY when possible. Sometimes large items have already been packaged in a shipping box to fit the item and adding additional items to the same box is not workable. I will send an invoice out within 24 hours of auction end for those bidders that win multiple items on the same day with shipping discount if possible. I do NOT discount for multiple items won over different days. Also, I do not profit from shipping and will not add any handling charges.

In addition, I know that many of my items are old and fragile. I pack items to withstand the normal trauma at the Post Office and use USPS Priority Mail for all domestic sales. And quite frankly the USPS Priority Mail has a very nice and successful record. However, every now and then a package seems to make it to the Destroyer that roams in the back hallways of the post office, and the post office really does not have a problem leaving a crushed box at your door. So, Insurance is optional, and quite frankly, I never buy it myself when I buy on ebay, but if you have a shipping problem as a result of the Post Office, do not ask me to compensate.
