This is a very unique chess set. The pieces are extra large ceramic, handpainted in white and black glazes. The largest piece (King is 8 inches tall) and the smallest (Pawn is 6 inches tall). All pieces are felted on the bottom. The base on the King, Queen, Bishop, Rook & Knight is 2 1/2 inches round, The base on the pawns is 2 inches round.  (Chess Board is not included) This makes a great gift for the chess lover.
