RULES, REGS, DISCLAIMERS AND GRIPES:

Good gravy, this disclaimer thing is getting out of hand but every week seems to be bringing new weird issues so, here's the new, updated version.  And, even though I always hated to see in other auctions, apparently, it has to be said:

Please do not ask us to ship outside of the United States. We do not. Period.

PayPal only. Payment is expected within three days. I haven’t heard from you in a week, well, you’ll be considered a non-payer and you’ll be hearing from Ebay. This is a problem that is getting waaaaaaayyyyyy out of hand, folks.  If you don't want it, and don't want to pay for it....why the heck are you bidding in the first place????????  It's a shame that a few bad apples spoil it for everyone but apparently there are people out there who think the world revolves around them and their schedule. And that’s OK…I just would prefer they not buy from me.

Shipping: All items must now carry insurance and delivery confirmation.   All my shipping costs are posted in the auction, so, please, don't tell me you are surprised when the invoice comes.  That just doesn't fly with this ole curmudgeon...you can google that, too, if you need to.

Shipping costs are always stated up front so you know when you are bidding what the cost is going to be. So, please, do not ask me to lower them or complain after the fact. There are other expenses besides the actual postage; this is known as overhead. If you cannot afford the shipping, perhaps you should not bid. I do not mean to be nasty, but again, some people out there seem to be unaware of the cost of doing business.

Vintage means an item at least 30 years old so, yes, it probably is used. If I find an item that is not used, such as still in the package or with tags, trust me, I will mention that in the description. Otherwise, please assume it is a used item and its condition will reflect that. I try to find all the bumps and flaws and mention them when I see them. Sometimes I may not see them. If you have an issue with an item you bought, please email me before leaving negative feedback. But honestly, people, when you have an item that's old, expect some wear and tear. That is the beauty of antiques and vintage collectibles, they have a story to tell.

NEW UPDATE:  If this is a fabric item, which I sell a lot of, please don't put it on your light table at home and tell me about the pinholes or thread pulls.  Honestly, people, this stuff is 30+, 40+, sometimes 50+ years old.  There is bound to be wear of some kind.  If it is NEW IN PACKAGE, I will certainly mention that.  Otherwise, please stop complaining that isn't "just like new" when it's a vintage item...that would be an oxymoronic statement.

Once you buy an item, it is yours to keep.  If you are not happy with it, please feel free to resell it yourself. I do my best to describe items as I see them and find them, but I am not Antiques Roadshow. Please buy an item because you love it, know someone who would love it or just think it would be something cool to own. That is the spirit in which I buy things, not as an investment. We can all have fun doing this, but, honestly, some of you do try my patience. Thanks for bidding and enjoy!
