GREEN/BLUE RING BELT, SCA, Faire, Sword, Pirate, Rennie

We use a sturdy 9-10 oz 100% Veg. Tanned leather to make these distinctive pigmented belts.  As pictured, we use either your choice of chrome steel rings.  This is similar to the premium product that I've made for thousands of SCA and Ren-Faire participants, however they never had this new choice of colors.   It measures 1 1/2" and approx 72" (or more) in length so that it can be knotted in Half Windsor/SCA fashion.   It comes complete with an appropriately sized Chrome Steel 0-ring for closure and another chrome steel ring as a handy hanging point for your mug/pouch/dagger.

• Custom Sizing :  Each belt is custom made to order.  We hope to hear from your about the following choices...
  

• Ring:  High Quality Chrome Steel

•  Length: This belt is made in two parts and connected by an accessory ring.  This belt is a minimum of 72" but we generally have longer straps on hand.  Just ask, and we'll make it happen.  Shorter is very easy too, but please be careful and don't make it too small for you.  The formula is WAIST + 12 inches + about how long you'll want the tail.  If we don't hear from you we'll assume that 72+/-" is good as that fits most folks pretty well.

• Accessory Ring Size : Chrome Steel - your choice of small (as shown on green belt) or large (as shown on blue belt).  Small is default.

• Accessory Ring Placement:  We will happily install the accessory ring at any point in the belt that you'd like.  Normally we do 12-18" from the closure ring.
  

• Color: Green or Blue or........ any of the following as well Black, Chestnut, Golden, or Medium Brown.  We NEED to know your color choice.
  

• Finished end: Square cut, diagonal cut, or English V.  We'll trim the end with a diagonal cut unless you tell us otherwise.

• Width: This belt is 1-1/2 inches wide.

Upgrade Options:  These are neat ways to jazz up your belt.  

• Extra Accessory Ring- Our belts come standard with 2 rings, one to close, one for accessories.  If you'd like more add $3/ring when you check out and tell us at what lengths you'd like them to be placed.

• Fancy Belt Tip : We now offer an excellent Chrome Steel Belt that gives a ring belt a goodly authentic look.  $8 additional at check out.

How to Tie One On: Some customers have mentioned that they don't know how to tie these belts.  While the half windsor knot is very easy once you've done it, sometimes it takes a little teaching the first time.  Here's a graphic that will help first time wearers.

Cautionary tales..... there are other auctions out there that aren't selling what you'd probably want.

Thickness/Weight of Leather
Belts of much thinner grade leather have been sold on ebay for something in the neighborhood of $8. Understand that this maker is using 2.5 oz GARMENT LEATHER that is less than 1/3 of the thickness of our belts. Buyer beware, you get what you pay for.

Length of Leather
We've noticed some auctions for 55-65 inch belts.  A person with a 36" waist will have only a 6 inch tail after the half Windsor knot uses up a foot (it does).  So if you're a really tiny person, or want a really short tail end that'll be fine.  However, be aware that using 10-20" less leather is how their prices are slightly lower.
