Kalinsky intends to use a pacifist organization called ‘The Key Club’ to conceal his attempts to steal the blueprints to a prototype radio-controlled warplane. However, Kalinsky is notorious to Scotland Yard as an unscrupulous gunrunner who is always prepared to trade weapons to foreign powers in order to make a profit. When Caldwell is making a phone-call to Scotland Yard he is interrupted and abducted by a pair of Kalinsky’s henchmen. It seems these toy men were made 900 years ago by King Harold of the Normans and are the key to a bounty of loot. In order to fool two groups chasing after the money, Conway claims to have two of the soldiers. He's able to nab the bad guys and turns them over to the police. calling bulldog drummond 1951 This was the 22nd "Bulldog Drummond" film and Pidgeon was the twelfth of thirteen actors who portrayed Hector McNeil's famous character. A desperate gang robs a London store and escapes through the pea-soup fog by using radar equipment. Amateur sleuth Pidgeon comes out of retirement to nail the thieves. Scotland Yard assigns a female officer (Leighton) to assist him and they go under cover to get close to the brigands. Soon enough, Pidgeon is recognized and imprisoned in the basement of a bombed-out building (there still were plenty of those around England after the war). He escapes in time to capture the malfeasants.
