Offered in its' original frame is this amazing silhouette cut paper art of a landscape made in Germany in the late 1920's or 1930. This is guaranteed to be an original, vintage hand cut work of art.  The detail in this piece is incredible. The control and ability to do this work is astounding to me . Surely a lost art. The trees and grass are very realistic. Even the black border is cut out. The piece comes in its original frame that has an inscription on the back that reads - "To Josie, From Betty, With lots of love, Christmas 1930, This came from Germany- it is a real hand cut out black and white". It also has has a picture framers' sticker on the back from 'Weaver's Art Shop... Allentown, PA.' The size of the image is about 5" by 6 1/2" and the frame is about 9 1/2" by 12 1/2". A great addition to your collection!

The condition of the cut out is very good to excellent with some very minor discoloration on the backing paper on the bottom, very minor and nowhere near the image. The cut out has no breaks or tears. I'm sure it has been in this frame since it was made. The backing of the piece with the inscription is discolored from age and has tears and flaking in the paper. Please view pictures.
