They're really just what the name says: a group of three rappers who use the music landscapes traditionally used by gangster rappers to give praise to the Lord. Tracks like "Once Was Blind," "One Way," and "They Don't Believe That I'm Saved" are powerful street jams that demonstrate these three MCs at their best. While some of the tracks are straight hip-hop, others have an R&B-streaked flavor that comes from toothsome chorus harmonies and smooth arrangements. In particular, "Live It Up," the title track, and "I'll Be Good" (the last of which was produced by Trackmasters) are almost guaranteed not to disappoint.
Vibe (9/99, p.268) - "...offers a perfect reprieve from the graphic sex, violence, and materialism found in contemporary urban music....I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW [is] inspirational..."
