I have for sale a Bebecar brand Raider AT+ with the Urban denim color. This stroller was made in Portugal, and is the ultimate off-road stroller. All four wheels, easily removed for fitting into a trunk of a car, are of premium rubber stamped "Bebecar" - the original tires. This stroller can tumble over firm sand (but, it's not a hovercraft), and it's a joy in a park or at the lake where the stroller literally rolls over tree roots with aplomb. No terrain within reason cannot be just walked over with this stroller. This stroller is the bomb for pathways and is far more comfortable for the rider than any three-wheel jogging stroller, plus, it is far more versatile - it turns like a car!
All four wheels have shock absorbers. The front ones are shown in picture #5, the vertical bars are cushioned as they enter the plastic blocks. The rear shocks are cantilevered so the rear axle is floating on springs hidden. Believe me when I tell you the baby in the stroller is floating. The front wheels can be locked so they remain straight for when you want to run without the front wheels wobbling. The rear wheels can be locked (brakes) and the locking is done by steel bolts that fit into the rear wheel's hubs.
This stroller is so uncommon in some areas, that I can comfortably say that I am among the few owners if not the only owner of one of these strollers in the Pacific Northwest! I am not kidding, I have never seen another one of these strollers. If you've heard of popular brands like Peg Perego or MacLaren, be assurred this stroller just rolls right on over any of their offerings.
Stability is very good, this stroller has a very strong resistance to tipping even when turning the tightest corners.
The stroller is constructed of light aluminum with heavy-duty plastic parts. The denim (slightly glossy) snaps off and can be washed (we've never had to). I paid about $500 for this stroller when new, in 2001! You can have it for much less.
Photo #1: What the stroller looks like with the foot warmer and shield, overhead attached. See how cozy it is?
Photo #2: Front bar removed (push button, pops off) and overhead canopy removed.
Photo #3: Ready to roll at a moment's notice.
Photo #4: Construction. Aluminum and plastic. Very strong.
Photo #5: Front wheels turn like a car's. They can be locked straight for running.
Photo #6: Cozy seat, five-point harness. Adjustable for small to older toddlers. This stroller is huge but not too much.
Photo #7: The seat is laid back, almost a basinet. An actual insertable basinet is an optional item once available for this stroller.
Photo #8: A close up of the foot base cover, see the fabric.
Photo #9: Instruction manual (pristine).
I will not ship outside the continental 48 states unless an additional surcharge is paid. Contact me before bidding with any questions. Comes from a smoke-free home. Guaranteed no odors or stains. This stroller was bought new and used infrequently. Does it look brand new? No, but it doesn't look washed out or anything whatsoever.
Included with stroller:
Original instructions
Stroller, all four wheels.
Canopy.
Foot muff/cover.
Fly mesh.
Underbasket.
Now, the caveats: This stroller is not small. The wheels including tires are 12 inches in diameter and are air filled. With all the wheels off, this stroller will take up much of the room in a car trunk. It fit with room to spare in our '03 Maxima, but if you're thinking this will go on an airplane look elsewhere. But, if you are the lake-setters, and you want to stroller your baby in total comfort and security, this is the stroller for you. You will be totally pleased, and everyone else will be totally jealous.
