Cindy Crawford is a devoted southern girl drag racer who travels the Fun Ford Weekend and NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) drag racing circuit.  She is 42 years of age, mother of two grown children, grandmother of two and daughter of a stock car driver.

Her first year racing she ended up sixth in points in the Fun Ford Weekend circuit.  She was given top honors at the Fun Ford World Finals Banquet held by American Autosports at the Motorplex in Ennis, Texas in 1999 and was given the award of Rookie of the Year.  Several automotive journalists have recognized Cindy’s racing abilities and she has received extensive coverage  in Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords magazine, Super Ford magazine, 5.0 Mustang magazine, numerous newspapers  and over 20 websites.  She was interviewed  for My Classic Car show  which aired on Speedvision in 2000.

Cindy has made guest appearances at charity events, car shows, shopping centers, community events, grand openings and special sponsor functions to a wide variety of audiences.  She is an active member with the Southeast Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America.  She donates her winnings to the Lupus Foundation to help research and find a cure for Lupus.  Cindy sets up a booth with Lupus literature, pamphlets and articles in the pits to allow people to learn more about Lupus.  She, herself, struggles with Systemic Lupus and Fibromyalgia which can be a debilitating disease.

Cindy is volunteering Director of Interactive Events for the Thunder Valley Racing website organization.  She is a member of DRAW (Drag Racing Association of Woman) and supports Racer’s for Christ.  She is a member of NHRA, nmrq AND Fun Ford Events racing organizations.  Cindy is a USA reporter for Girl Racer in the United Kingdom.  She is a member of JobsInMotorsports.com.
