Item Description
Up for auction is for a museum de-accessioned Antique 1909 french fabric swatch sample book with different types of fabrics from wool to satins, silks to poplins! The hardcover measures about 12 inches long x 8 inches with about 200 pages with samples. Most pages have several samples each. The cover of the book says " Ete Lainages I " This book not only contains beautfful textured fabrics, some with patterns and checks but it also has extensive notes and ideas written down by the book's author/ designer. The average sample size is about 3" by 1 1/4". The last couple of pictures show the inside cover which lists some of the types of fabrics and what pages they can be found on. Overall, this is an amazing, rare chance to grab a french fabric sample book from 1909. Once these are gone they are gone forever. They are rarely offered on Ebay. Don't miss this!
