Rare Set Of 9 Elvis Presley 1977 Memorabilia US Dollars

Here we have for sale a Set Of Nine Rare Original 1977 Elvis Presley Genuine Mint U.S Currency Dollars. 

In 1977 when Elvis Presley died, a gift collection of nine individual dollars were minted and sold individually with Elvis Presley's portrait on, instead of George Washington's. The American Government authorized a minting company and the Elvis Presley Graceland estate to print these dollar bills exclusively. The American Government hoped that the move of printing these dollars, with Elvis's portrait on them would slow down America's inflation, because collectors would keep them and never spend them.

To get this whole set of nine would be virtually impossible for three reasons...  

One: A short while after the printing of these dollars, the Graceland estate decided to stop printing one of them, The reason for this was that the ninth  dollar showed Elvis looking overweight and not at his best, which they felt was inappropriate.

Two: The minting company stopped printing them.

Three: They are 32 years old.  

These dollars have never been touched or removed from their protective acetate holder's.

This auction is for the whole set of nine Elvis Presley Dollars, that were printed shortly after Elvis died. These dollars are not to be mistaken for the novelty dollars that you see advertised on Ebay or  the dollars that have been recently printed with Elvis on, as mentioned they are the original  Elvis memorabilia that came out after he died in 1977, and which the Graceland Estate were given special permission from the American Government to have minted, they are a Rare Collectors item, for serious Elvis Presley fans.

I have personally owned these dollars since they came out in 1978. I have an original newspaper article from 1978 explaining the minting of the dollars, i also have the original leaflet that came with the dollars, along with the international money order, authenticating the date that these dollars were purchased. Also you can see from one of the pictures in this listing the date 1977; that  show when these dollars were minted. These are all in Absolute Pristine Condition.
