Sony Laptop Model PCG-8A4L for Repair or Parts

Up for bids is a Sony PCG-8A4L Laptop for Repair or Parts. When I received this laptop I was told "it doesn't start up". It is obvious a Technician has looked at this laptop. I noticed the panel that holds the start button was loose and a screw was missing. I turned the panel over and both ribbon connectors were missing. I installed one ribbon connector for the start button however it still does not start up. There are no missing covers, no cracks in the case. Hinges are good and the screen looks ok. The cd/dvd drive is included but the Hard Drive is missing. The Hard drive case however is there. I turned the keyboard over and it looks like everything is there, fans, motherboard, cpu,  etc. Please see photos. It  comes with three Sony Batteries and the Sony Power Adapter, and five original CD's; System Recovery CD#1, CD#2 and CD#3, a Driver Recovery CD, and Applications Recovery CD. It will be shipped in the original box and the entire package weights about 15 Lbs.
