"The Forum" had a long and distinguished history in American journalism, beginning in 1886 and ranking it with Harper's, Cosmopolitan, Century, Scribner's, Hearst's, McClure's, and other great magazines of the time. In fact, in the 1930's, The Forum and Century united after a fandango that lasted decades. The most important contribution Forum made was its debate format, in which the greatest minds of any given period were invited into its pages to discuss the great ideas of the day.

If a listing says that the magazine is from a bound volume, it is almost always an ex-library volume and will probably have the usual library markings. I try to find everything that's wrong with my items and report it, but they are very old, after all, and they will never be perfect.

I also want to point out that I have had delivery problems to Italy (packages disappear) , Spain (several packages returned undeliverable) , and Greece (weird happenings), so bidders from those countries do so at their own risk.
