VIKING LEATHERCRAFT INC.,  was formed in 1957 and operated out of the San Diego California area until being taken over by TRIPLE K several years ago.

The holsters were made with thick quality American Saddle leather and HANDMADE in Mexico, (not a bad thing for leather products) then returned here for inspection and distribution. 

These exceptionally strong holsters feature a fully welted seam with 6 cord waxed saddle stitched tread.  Two rivets secure the snapped single loop.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of this old time holster.

 This is for a NEW &  Vintage quality made VIKING Brand PLAIN BLACK leather dump double ammo case.  This is the standard model that that has two pouches, that snap shut.  This can be worn right side or upside down. 

 It is marked in the back with the VIKING, HANDMADE IN MEXICO company logo and model number

 Each pouch side holds 6 rounds for a total of 12 extra cartridges.  The case measures about 4.5" long, by 3.5" high and fits over a belt up to 2.25", like a Sam Browne police style belt. 

 

Each box firmly seals with a nickel/silver metal snap. 

 This was standard PD equipment back in the days of Police Positives and Model 10's.  This case is in the plain black/silver snap style
favored by the LAPD and other southern California agencies.  This pouch will hold .357 rounds.

This is a lightweight model worn either flaps up or down

The way it works is simple, you "load" case with 38/357 rounds inside horizontally.  

I have shown it with dummy .38+ P -- AZOOM non bullets, not included.

Worn flaps up and snapped, you might use this case with a speed strip as shown with regular .38s.  You can also wear the case upside down, and not using the a speed strip, and again just let Newton's theory  put the loose rounds into your hand.   If you are using .357 rounds you will have to carry those loose in the case.  In any case, your rounds, or combo or rounds and Speedstrip can not be more than 1.60" long.

It fits nice and flat on the belt for concealment or detective work, or for times when you don't need the speed, or the bulge of a speed loader.

The case old store stock and in EXCELLENT serviceable condition.  There are no  marks or scratches and the finish is clear and dark, no fade.

If you have other Safety Speed equipment or one of those collectible Clamshells, this is a great match to it, or it is perfectly serviceable for use in the field today.
