For years, I've been buying, and wearing, unsigned Miriam Haskell jewelry, but I just have too much. I'll keep my favorites, but the rest is finding new homes. I buy my Haskell pieces at estate sales, antique stores, and even a few on Ebay. I bought this auction item on Ebay many years ago. It was advertised as Haskell, and I'm sure PART of it is! I think the black round glass beads, the brass bead-caps, and the pointed brass pieces which dangle from the beads are genuine vintage Haskell. The bookchain portion of the necklace seems too shiny to me to be authentic, and I doubt Haskell ever used this type of bookchain, (but I'm not certain-- experts, do you know?). The gold link chain that makes up the rest of the necklace is probably from a hardware store! Yeah, I bought this when I was a Haskell novice, and you really have to be careful out there. Every day I see people buying jewelry misidentified as Haskell. This "necklace" has no clasp. Thanks for looking, and yes! I combine items to save you shipping costs. |
