and other health information and the second half is the recipes.

Do you want to loose weight, prevent and reverse disease, look younger all while eating as much as you want? With raw food this is all possible. The reason is that raw food is the only way we are meant to eat, and many studies have shown that almost every disease can be prevented and even reversed with a raw food diet and healthy lifestyle. The reason you can eat as much raw food as you want without gaining weight is that raw food contains all it's nutrition intact, and nutrients are what satisfy your hunger, meaning you feel full after much less calories than with cooked food and end up eating less calories. Eating cooked food is like putting rum and sugar in your car and wondering why it's having so many problems, we are simply not meant to eat cooked food and cannot achieve perfect health without a large part of our food being raw.

Cooking food destroys enzymes, vitamins, proteins which are all essential to stay healthy, in addition it creates toxins including carcinogens. It's been said that when you eat cooked food, your body has to create the enzymes to digest the food which were already contained in it in it's raw state. The energy required to create the enzymes to digest 3 cooked meals a day is as much as eight hours of intensive physical activity. With raw food all that energy is available to you so you are not tired and out of energy like when eating cooked food.

The reasons I discovered raw food is that I had acne, Crohn's disease and poor vision all of which modern medicine could do nothing that didn't make me even more sick: The drugs for the acne gave me Crohn's disease, then the drugs for Crohn's disease cause cancer, but I stopped before it got to that point, as they say "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". So I decided to look for alternatives and quickly discovered all these diseases had one thing in common: poor diet. My research led me to find the benefits of a raw food diet and since that time my acne vanished, my Crohn's is completely disappeared, and I went from having horrible vision back to 20/20 vision in one eye and 20/25 in the other.

In one study on rats, they fed one group raw food and the other group cooked food plus drugs to treat the diseases caused by the cooked food. In the raw group none of them had any disease and they were killed and autopsied at the equivalent of 80 human years, all their organs were in perfect health. In the cooked group the rats became fat and suffered from about all the diseases that humans suffer from, most of them died prematurely. As these rats died prematurely they were also autopsied and showed damage to almost every organ in their bodies. They also studied a 3rd group of rats that were fed cooked food up to the equivalent of 40 human years at which point they were again suffering from the same diseases humans have, but then they were put on a raw food diet. Within one month all their diseases had vanished and they had attained the level of health of the group that ate raw all their lives. This shows that it’s never too late to make changes, don’t think that because you already have several diseases that it’s too late to start eating properly.

Eating raw food does not mean eating salads and cold soups, in fact I almost never eat salad and rarely have soup. With this recipe book you can continue eating raw versions of all your favorites meals, and they will take less time to prepare, often cost less, normally taste much better than their cooked version, there's no baked on food that's hard to clean, and it's healthy! These recipes are also suitable for physically active people and athletes. They are all high in protein and most can be made to contain few or many calories. I do weightlifting and other physical activities and as a result most raw recipe books did not provide me with enough calories to maintain or gain weight with the amount of energy I spend in a day. I normally eat 3000-5000 calories a day depending on how active I am, and the recipes in this book allow me to get those calories with very little preparation time. You can also loose weight with these recipes, they will only cause you to gain weight if you do weightlifting. When I started eating raw food I was no longer weightlifting and lost 40 lbs (which I didn't want to loose). I had tried to gain it back on raw food for 2 years without gaining a gram, but once I started weightlifting again I gained 40 lbs in about 8-10 months.
