Ando Hiroshige: 1797-1858 (80+ images, identified by title)
Born in Edo (Tokyo), his father was a samurai and firewarden. Both his parents died when he was twelve. At age fourteen he was accepted to the famous Utagawa painting school, and in 1812 he formally took the name Utagawa Hiroshige. Renowned for his stunning landscape prints, he was very successful in Japan and in Europe. He was one of the most prolific of the Ukiyo-e artists.

Katsushika Hokusai: 1760—1849 (50+ images, identified by title)
Painter and printmaker born near Edo. Created about 30,000 highly original works, of which his landscapes are most famous. He was influenced by Dutch and French pastoral landscapes, bringing perspective and shading to Japanese landscapes. Often credited with introducing the serenity of nature to Japanese art, and was among the first to paint the common people in his woodblocks.

With our self-opening image viewer, all you do is point and click!
This CD is self-loading and user friendly. Just put this CD into your CD drive and it will load automatically. A simple-to-use image viewer will show you the albums of images. Select an album and view the images in a beautiful image gallery.
Careful organization and our image gallery help you find just the right image!
All you do is left-click on a thumbnail to open the larger picture. Just right-click on the larger image to print or zoom or copy. So easy!
You can also view a lovely slideshow with pause and rewind functions, or make any picture your screen wallpaper. The landscapes are especially wonderful for this!
