This is a one-disc distillation of the four-disc box set THE LIFE AND CRIMES OF ALICE COOPER, and as such represents the cream of the shock-rock legend's output. The earlier songs (1970 to 1974), featuring the original lineup, are classic rock & roll.
Managing the difficult feat of being both clever and commercially accessible, these songs were of course a huge influence on the late-'70s punk rock that followed (Johnny Rotten auditioned for the Sex Pistols by singing along with Cooper's generational anthem "I'm Eighteen"). The later material here, from "Only Women Bleed" to "Poison," is just as well crafted--Cooper performs with a combination of irony and malevolence that a certain Marilyn Manson no doubt studied long and hard.

Up for auction is this excellent 22-track CD from Alice Cooper entitled “Mascara & Monsters: The Best of Alice Cooper” from 2001.  This is an authentic release from Rhino and Warner Archives - not some cheap copy, import, bootleg or fake of any kind.  The photo you see is the actual CD that will be sent to you if you are the winner.

It is used, but has been listened to only once or twice and still in excellent condition.

Plus, it comes with the original 16-page insert booklet which includes a personal message from Alice Cooper, track-by-track liner notes, photos, a discography and an essay by Jeffrey Morgan.

The CD, booklet and case are all in excellent condition.  There are no tears, holes, creases or scratches to be found anywhere.  It has been stored and used with care in a smoke-free home.  I religiously return all of my CDs to their original cases after watching them.  They are never left in my CD player or lying around the house.
