   And now for something completely different:
      Antique(1902-1933) Salesman Sample Case or Store Display Case with original contents. Richardson Silk Co. "RICHTEX ROPE". An "artificial" silk, early Rayon(since 1880), actually made from Cellulose so more "manufactured" than "artificial". Colorfast, thick, glossy, and slick with that slight "catch" silk has, in a loose, 2 thread, twist. LOT: Total of 51 Embroidery Floss skeins, each  4 yards, 11 colors/dye lots.
        The case has a dyed canvas cover over a cardboard base with a plastic "window" that has some damage(see photo) and the lid has a split at one corner, plus some rub. Some general wear and fading to the box, to be expected, but the cover stays put when lifted as the twill tape hinges are in good condition. Box measurements: 10 3/4" x 15 1/2" x 2 1/2".
         The floss is in good, usable condition, with no rot, fading, staining. ALL of the skeins have their original wrappers, which are in superb condition; they are from different years.
