In a tiny estate collection of cat items , this fun brooch pin that tells a story !  Unsure of the vintage but this pin is a humdinger ! It is an impressive 2 10/16ths inches high by 1 1/4 inch across ( with the door CLOSED ! ) . While the Kitty is visible with the door closed , the story unfolds when you open the door and see that the cat is eluding the family dog by climbing up the coatrack  . Beautifully detailed in heavy gold tone and signed JJ on the back , this is a great collectible pin . It is an estate piece and while in very good condition , this fabulous pin has some slight scuffs on the front . Not an expert on old costume jewelry so not sure if this pin could be gently cleaned or buffed , but it is beautiful as is . The pin closure works fine and the door opens by itself if the pin is tilted forward . This big , fun pin is not for the fainthearted as it will surely get complements & attention .
