At the beggining of the 20th century, Africa was divided between different powers. This book present the life of native people living in these territories, unspoiled by the colonnists. There are huge cultural contradictions and thousands of years between cave dwellers of Norhern Rhodesia who were still living in the Stone Age and Bagara tribes of Kordofan whose Arabic culture is of the highest order. The book presents the natives living in nature, their religious ceremonies and rites and tries to preservate the African culture as it was 100 years ago.
The explabatory notes present the history of these territories and their geo-political situation when the book was published + facts anf figures on commerce and trade for each of them. Here are presented some of the tribes:
