For sale is a alternator from a Briggs And Stratton engine. This is the style that is 10-16 AMP and is regulated and the part number is 696458. What that means is that your engine also would a regulator on the engine. This will only work for that style. Your external mount regulator would have 1 red wire and 2 yellow wires that go into 1 connector and that connector fits into this alternator. This will fit mowers like Sears, MTD, John Deere and Many others. Please feel free to send your Briggs and Stratton model and serial number to verify. But if it looks like this and is 12HP and up it should work as long as you have a external mount regulator also. Ask questions as needed. Thanks
