Sunrise simulators help you wake up on dark winter mornings by slowly lighting a lamp. Don't be fooled by the low price!  This is a reliable, accurate, smooth operating unit that doesn't make a sound when it comes on. Sunrise will begin at the time you program into the unit and every day after that, at the same time, with no further input from you. The lamp must be an incandescent bulb, 300 watts maximum (60 watts recommended). Full spectrum bulbs are NOT necessary but will work. Fluorescent, compact fluorescent bulbs, or Tensor lamps will not work and may damage both the lamp and the Lighten Up! unit. This model will allow you to continue to use your bedside lamp as a reading lamp if you choose. You can stop sunrise or reprogram it every morning if you choose.
